The Healing trust

The situation

As a funder, The Healing Trust needed a way to evaluate the impact of their Advocacy Grants Program - designed to provide funding to build organizational capacity to engage in advocacy work.

The solution

We analyzed the grantee data collected by The Healing Trust and developed an evaluation tool that assessed collective progress, while retaining the flexibility each grantee needs to pursue their individual capacity goals. Together, they are building the foundation necessary to keep access to healthcare and ACE prevention at the forefront of the regional, state, and federal advocacy agenda.

United way of metropolitan nashville: Read to succeed

The situation

United Way had been offering Read to Succeed, programming, designed to increase preschoolers’ literacy and kindergarten readiness, since 2004, but felt it was time to determine whether they needed to make changes to the program’s implementation. To do this they needed more information about how the program was performing.

The solution

We conducted a full analysis of the early literacy assessment data collected from students participating in Read to Succeed as well as structured conversations with Read to Succeed staff and administrators about their experiences and lessons learned implementing the program. The summary data and responses from program implementers gave United Way the information they needed to streamline future data collection and amplify areas of programmatic success.
